What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When someone sends us a message using either our contact form or Consultation Request form we receive an email containing the data entered into the form. Although we take precautions to keep our email systems secure, we recommend that you refrain from including confidential information through the form or other email systems. Any outside service / content providers we may use from time to time are listed below along with their privacy policies.

Meta data

We collect meta data such as the IP address and browser user agent from the network and device used, to help analyze how much traffic our site receives and where from. Such data is also collected when you submit a contact form message, to help with spam and fraud detection.

Comments

If you leave comments on this website, we collect the data entered into the comments form and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should not upload images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. This is to prevent visitors to the website from downloading and extracting any location data from those images.

Cookies

By visiting this website, cookies may be set on your device. We use cookies to let us know when you visit our website, how you interact with us, to enrich your user experience, and to customize your relationship with this website.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages and Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. scripts, videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How we use your data

The data you voluntarily provide to us through our contact form and subscription form is used by us to communicate with you and do business with you.

Your data is processed by third party service providers, and how they handle your data is explained in their privacy policies we have linked to below.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with any person or entity without your express consent.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your data

We follow best practices regarding confidentiality and security. We use encryption and authentication keys where possible.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or submitted information through one of our forms, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
