On August 6th, 2022, Abbas Hadjian will be installed as the 2022-23 LACBA Family Law Section Chair.
This nomination follows his dedicated membership on the Family Law Executive Committee (FLEXCOM) since 2014. Abbas succeeds the 2021-22 chair, Steven Mindel.
The Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association is a community of family law attorneys in Los Angeles County, whose work includes the following (according to its Facebook page):
- Educating attorneys and the public
- Commenting on proposed legislation and promulgating new legislation
- Working with judicial officers and court staff to improve the administration of justice
- Supporting organizations that provide free and low cost legal services
