Child Custody Laws - Iran custody law compared to California

Child Custody, Below and Above the Best Interest of Children Model

Child Custody, Below and Above the Best Interest of Children Model – Cultural Divorce Part XIV, is part of Abbas Hadjian’s CULTURALLY SPEAKING Series Published In The Daily Journal.

In article 14 of Abbas Hadjian’s Daily Journal series “Culturally Speaking”, global models of child custody policies are compared to California’s best interest of the child standard, particularly the Iran Islamic child custody standards.

There are seven issues in California divorces with children. 1) child custody, 2) child support, 3) spousal support, 4) division of community property and debt, 5) claims of separate property claims and reimbursements, 6) attorney fees and costs, and 7) domestic violence (increasingly). Of these, custody of children, for many culturally sensitive parents, is the single most important issue.
